Rebranding
Element Skateboard is about to celebrate its 30th anniversary next year. To this end, through rebranding, a commemorative logo was created for it.

Element Skateboard Company is one of the top skateboard brands in the world. This is a challenge both for me and element. It will be 30 years old in 2022. This is an event worth celebrating. In order to make it more competitive in the competition while celebrating the 30th anniversary, it will be visually designed around the 30th anniversary. Just like the 75th anniversary of the NBA, in the middle of 2022, Element will use the redesigned 30th-anniversary logo for publicity and printing.

The company was founded by Johnny Schillereff in 1992 and was called “Underworld Element Skateboard”. After a period of hardship, this struggling company was later absorbed by Schiller and the “Underworld ” portion of the name was dropped.

The logo is surrounded by two circles. At the center of the two circles is the shape of a tree, which represents that Element has always used natural trees as the raw material for skateboarding. At the same time, it can be found that the tree is composed of the letter E with one positive and one negative. The top of the outer circle is divided into four equal line segments, which represent the four elements of wind, water, fire, and earth, respectively, and also represent the company’s story and the corporate principle of being close to nature.

Project Goal
1. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Element, let it have a new visual experience. Let it have a commemorative version of the visual image in 2022.
2. Gain stronger competitiveness through new visual images. Even though Element is already among the best in the market, with the rise of other skateboard brands and the renewal of its visual image, Element also needs to upgrade to retain users and attract new skateboard players.
Audience
1. All skateboarders.
2. Young people aged 16-25.
3. People who are interested in sports brand fashion.
4. Beginners who want to learn about skateboarding or learning to skateboard.



The new visual image is combined with the number 30 and Element's logo. The waves and wheels at the bottom combine to form the image of a skateboard, implying that the skateboard has carried the Element brand for 30 years.


The new visual image will have many different combinations. This group will be applied to different products in a retro style.

In this group of combinations, the mark on the left combines natural scenery and emphasizes the purpose of Element, which will be applied to casual products and apparel. In the middle is a modern style mark, which will be applied to fashion apparel. The mark on the right combines the appearance of a triangular skateboard, which is more aggressive. It is used in competitive products and even in competitions held by Element.
