Acumin Pro Typeface Motion
Motion Design
Use motion to present the evolution and development of Acumin Pro fonts.
Acumin is a versatile sans-serif typeface family designed by Robert Slimbach, intended for a balanced and rational quality. Solidly neo-grotesque, it performs beautifully at display sizes but also maintains an exceptional degree of sensitivity for text sizes.
This motion will lead the audience to quickly browse the characteristics and evolution of Acumin.

The letter A in a different Acumin font. Acumin’s design space covers a range of widths from Extra Condensed to Wide, and weights from Thin to Ultra Black – all with corresponding italics.

Each of Acumin’s styles has slightly different vertical proportions appropriate for their weight and width. As weight increases, the x-height grows and ascenders shorten – illustrated here with a series of successively heavier i’s.

Subtle features help distinguish Acumin from other neo-grotesques: slightly angled terminals on baseline crossbars, a J that doesn’t curl all the way up, lowercase letters that ascend above the cap height, a single-stroke comma, numerals that are proportional and slightly shorter than the cap height by default.

As Acumin moves from Wide to Condensed, its rounds compress, with the most narrow width, Extra Condensed, having totally flat sides.
